I am Christopher Clowes, an award winning marketer and I have worked with over 100 business owners in the past year - teaching them how to take their business to the next level through digital marketing. After popular demand, the 5 day Google Challenge is returning this March and today I am going to be giving you an insight into what to expect in the upcoming training session.


What is SEO and how does it help with my Google Ranking?


Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of helping to improve a company's traffic to their website, from using major search engines. SEO’s overall goal is to target unpaid traffic, as opposed to direct traffic or paid traffic and drive them to the website.

SEO optimising will help to increase quality traffic to a website/web page, the company will reap the benefits of SEO optimising because they will see an increase in both conversions and generated revenue.


When using on-page SEO optimisation, businesses will notice an incredible difference in their website's positioning in Google’s search rankings, this is because the company has successfully used SEO keywords and optimised their on-page content, meta descriptions, title tags etc.

To find relevant keywords there are numerous apps and websites you can use to help you optimise your work, these examples being SEMrush, Google Keyword Planner etc. After finding a suitable app/website you want to use for your optimising, it is important to have the correct tools in place, so you know what ranking factors to look for when looking for effective keywords.



What questions to ask yourself when finding Keywords:


1. How often is this keyword searched in Google?

This is key to look at when finding those ever-important keywords to use, as the whole point in using keywords is that they are popular and that they are being searched for daily. The overall objective is to find a target keyword that has been searched many times, as this has a greater chance of increasing footfall to your website.


2. Look out for Competition

Everyone is in the same boat when it comes to optimising their content, therefore it is essential to find keywords where the popularity of the word is ‘Low’ and not ‘High’ meaning that the word has been searched for numerous times however not many of your competitors include this word in with their keyword optimisation which leaves you a better chance to rank higher than your competitors as they haven’t included this keyword.


3. Relevant keywords only!

If your website has random and not relevant keywords, Google will scrutinise your website because the words used aren't applicable to the identity of your website. Therefore keyword research is ESSENTIAL.



What is the training course about?

The 5 day Google challenge will take place from 28/03/22 - 01/04/22.

During this period, I will take you on a Google journey from Site map creation to Citations. And then after 5 days, you will have all the tools you will need to improve your Google rankings and employ your own digital marketing strategy.

I am also offering FREE marketing consults where I will sit with you 1-2-1 and analyse your website to help increase its potential in Google Ranks.


Day 1

Day 1 of the training course you will discover site map creations, keyword mapping and learn how these processes will help you and your business be discoverable in the Google search engine.


Day 2

Day 2 of the training course you will include quality content writing and user flow, this will help highlight what paths customers take on your website and why this might be the case.


Day 3

Upon Day 3 you will learn how to schema mark up your sites to allow search engines to understand your content, so your website will show up frequently in search queries.


Day 4

Day 4 highlights technical jargon and fixes which will help manage SEO optimising pieces of content.


Day 5

On Day 5 you will learn link building and citations for your website to enhance user experience, this is done by using internal links to create a path for your website, this then helps to build trusting relationships with search engines. As a result of the trusted relationships, search engines will then rank your website higher on result pages.
